As we look to the first half of 2021, it’s clear that we face months of restricted travel and in-person gatherings. It’s also clear that brands everywhere are reconsidering their advertising and marketing plans during these challenging times of the pandemic and the rising focus on social and environmental issues.

 

Now, perhaps more than ever, is a time for brands to express their compassion and empathy. It’s a time to inform, entertain, inspire and instill hope. It’s a time for action. It’s a time for brands and their content partners to work together to create content and solutions that will soothe a hurting world.

What is the Brand Storytelling Network?

 

The Brand Storytelling Network is a members-only, high-level executive community program.

 

Brand storytellers and their existing or potential content partners can meet regularly online for group chats, panel discussions, idea-sharing, film premieres, and more.

 

 

 

Who participates?

 

100+ brand guests and 20 partner companies

 

Brands join by invitation – must be qualified individuals representing major brands

and organizations across multiple verticals.

 

Partners include; content studios, social platforms,

as well as media and production companies.

 

Who Forms the Agenda?

 

The Brand Storytelling Advisory Board has driven the content and agenda design

for all live and virtual events since 2015.

All members participate; create and lead discussions, suggest keynotes,

premiere films, etc. Members own the agenda.

What is the Goal?

 

The Brand Storytelling Network will enable partners, brands and agencies to make the most of the year ahead, with various connection points, presentations, discussions and networking.

 

New relationships, ideas and content will result from member connections.

How was the BSN Created?


At the very beginning of the pandemic, the Brand Storytelling advisors held a video conference where ideas were shared about how to best serve the community that had formed around live events in Park City.

 

The result was The Elevate Summer Session, a 90-day program that included over 120 members, dozens of live stream discussions, constant 1:1 meetings,

and several Virtual Happy Hours and Watch Parties.

Best practices from the Elevate Summer Session have led to the creation of

the Brand Storytelling Network and an agenda that meets the needs of all members.

I’ve attended a fair amount of digital engagements this summer and I have to say I found Brand Storytelling by far the most beneficial.  Their ability to create a small intimate network of top tier brand storytellers, creatives, producers, and cutting-edge partners is what makes these small gatherings so valuable.  The team found a way to keep that connection alive (and in some instances better) than the yearly gatherings.   The round table sessions and one-to-one meetings created a way to immerse yourself in the discovery of new developments in storytelling and potential partners direct from your (home) office.

I've participated in the Brand Storytelling and Elevate programs for the past five years, and it has become one of the most tight-knit communities in the industry. I've met new colleagues and built new programs stemming from these programs, and the sessions are always a highlight of Sundance and the summer.
